Current neuroscience tells us that even though we think our conscious mind is directing our behavior, it turns out that our subconscious mind directs 95 % of our what we do. It is often a surprise to learn that we spend most of our day on "auto pilot". But that explains why unconscious self-limiting beliefs can override the positive conscious goals that we have made time and time again, and why we often feel "stuck" when we are trying to make changes in our lives.
Through the PSYCH-K process we change our subconscious beliefs to match our conscious desires and goals. This subconscious belief change leads us to respond to our day to day lives in a more congruent and satisfying way.
PSYCH-K balances can produce a "whole brain state" which makes it possible for us to access the same brain receptivity for behavior change that we experienced in early childhood.
Unconscious, life-directing beliefs were established in our subconscious mind during ...
our earliest years (from the third trimester to age 6 or 7) when our brain functioning used theta waves. These theta waves are the "gateway" to learning and memory for those early years while a child is living in their world of imagination and before they are able to think critically (beta waves). It is during this time that family and community beliefs, values and behavior patterns are instilled deeply within us. These beliefs have long lasting impact throughout our lives unless we can change them in adulthood.
Changing the subconscious, limiting beliefs, however, takes more than a strong commitment to change them. We have seen that repeatedly played out in the New Year's Resolutions we have set and broken. Once we grew past the first six years of our lives, our brains receptivity for modifying itself changed dramatically.
A known expert in computerized brain mapping, neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey L. Fannin, Ph.D has done research on PSYCH-K. He has found that the PSYCH-K balance produces a radical change in the brain EEG activity. This change leads to a balanced brain wave energy pattern called the "whole brain state". A coherent brain state makes it possible for "maximum communication and data flow between the left and right hemispheres of the brain" (Fannin and Williams). Through this whole brain state, we are able to modify our belief systems and our brain function to be more in line with our personal goals and dreams.
During the PSYCH-K process muscle testing is used as a means of communication with the person's subconscious mind. This clarifies the appropriateness of the goals identified for change by the person. In this process you are working to have your subconscious mind and conscious mind become congruent, enabling your external behavior to match your conscious intent and desires.
You have within you everything you need to achieve your goals. Freeing yourself from self-limiting beliefs empowers you to make it happen.
